About the author (2013)

C.S.R. PRABHU (MTech, IIT Bombay), is Deputy Director General and State Informatics Officer, National Informatics Centre (NIC), Andhra Pradesh State Unit, Hyderabad. Prior to joining NIC, he worked in various capacities at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), CMC, and TELCO (now Tata Motors). During his association with University of Central Florida, Mr. Prabhu served NASA at Cape Canaveral. He has also been a consultant to Hughes Aircraft Corporation, Irvine, California and Florida Savings and Loans, Orlando, Florida. At NIC, he worked on e-governance projects for about 18 years in various capacities, both at Central and State levels. He was instrumental in developing many e-governance applications and information system for the Central Government, state governments, district administration, and taluka and village level e-governance projects (whose case studies are presented in this book).
